Description |
This coat features a pink knubby-woven wool - a bouclé fabric - with six imitation-gold gilded buttons down the front. The coat offers four pockets and a collar, and it is satin-lined. There is a golden chain along the lower interior edge of the coat. The chain weighs down the jacket hem to keep it straight. The label is Union-made. Jablow was a New York manufacturer from 1931 to 1966. Many of their fashions were inspired by French fashion houses including Chanel. This outfit set (2005.007.001) was worn by Mattie Cecile Mettetal McQueen (previously Mattie Cecile Phipps, married to Winton Cornett Phipps, Jr.), the daughter of the donor. |
