Description |
This lithographic print called "Sketching, No. 1" by James Abbott McNeill Whistler depicts a representational lake scene with a masculine figure sitting in the right foreground, apparently drawing. A couple of figures are rowing down the river in the center of the print. A house or building appears in the left center. The scene is made of sketched lines. The text "PL 45" is printed in the top right corner of the image. "London, Published December 1st, 1861 by Day & Son, Lith, to the Queen" is printed along the bottom of the image. "J. Whistler" is printed in the bottom right of the image.There is an embossed border around the image. |
