Description |
This quilt is an adaption by Ida Love Brannum (Branham) Bruce (1875 - 1964) of the Mountain Mist Poinsettia Pattern first published in 1933. Mountain Mist Patterns were free and came as part of the wrapping for cotton batting. The quilt features red flowers with yellow centers and four green leaves. The edges of the applique are blanket-stitched in black. The background fabric is white. The textile is fan-quilted. The techniques and colors of the quilt mean it is likely from 1933 to the 1950s. |
