Description |
"At Loose Ends" is a three dimensional piece- digital photographs, pencil and watercolor ink on vellum layers, sewn with gold thread. Artist: "At Loose Ends" on the surface appears to be a pretty picture of a vase of flowers set in a window overlooking a hill, with some golden embroidery. Displayed transparently, however, layers appear. I wanted to speak to fragility, and beauty. Being overwhelmed with words and information. Feeling trapped. Hemmed in. Death flirting at the edges. Behind it all, the specter of the coronavirus particle, rendered in watercolor on vellum, like stained glass. |
