Description |
This 35-cent stamp displays an image of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and Our Lady of Lourdes in Liège, Belgium. The stamp says the words "België" and "Belgique" which are the Dutch and French words for "Belgium," respectively. There is an ink postmark across the bottom left corner. The bottom of the stamp reads: Liège 1939 Luik. "Liège" is the French name for the city while "Luik" is the Dutch name. The stamp is still attached to a cut piece of paper, likely an envelope. |
