Description |
This Bible is referred to as "The Pronouncing Bible" and is a version of the Holy Bible that includes the Old and New Testaments. "This Bible was bought at an auctionsale of Sam Wine by Mrs. J. Burton Geugerg, Sr. T'was then drawn by Margaret Ellen on June 1, 1963 at the home place. Signed, Margaret E. Smith" is written on the back of the cover. This inscription was dated June 2, 1963. "Catharine Wine" is signed in a calligraphic style on the opposite page with red, blue, and yellow flowers and green leaves. The Wine Family genealogy includes both Catharines and Catherines. It is proposed that this Bible likely belonged to Catharine Wine, one of the eleven children of Michael Wine III. |
