"To Say it Nicely: The Anti-Wicked Mask" by Jason Flack is a painting of a mask inspired by the work of Sammie L. Nicely. According to Flack, the painting is "to honor Sammie Nicely as an artist, a man, and a local creator. I also wanted to thank him with this piece." The painting depicts an African-inspired mask, similar to the ceramics made by Nicely. The mask is bright yellow with reds, white, and blue detailing. The mouth is open revealing teeth. The nose extends from the forehead down and is pierced with septum horns. This is echoed with two large horns protruding from a nest of brown, gray, and blue feathers on top of the head. More feathers encircle the 'neck' like a collar. Text on the back of the painting says the following: "To Say it Nicely" [The Anti-Wicked Mask] For Sammie, Thank You.
