Description |
This salad plate has an orange trim with a feminine profile in the center. Behind the figurine are red and blue flowers. The figure holds a goblet and is extending one finger. There is no manufacturer date on the bottom of the plate, but the numbers 5825 are written in the underglaze. (TR)1965.073.153.d and e have the same decoration, but the figure's dress is notably darker on e. This plate may be by Egisto Fantechi in the Liberty Style, an Italian variant of Art Nouveau, but there are no maker marks. |
