Description |
Primitive Baptist Church was the first church to be established in Cades Cove. The church was founded in 1827 and continued to be a place of worship in the Cove until the 1960s. This print is titled "Cades Cove Primitive Baptist Church" and is print 12/1000. It is a grayscale stipple print reproduction. The central image of the print is a white church with a steeple, an open front door, and three windows visible to the viewer on the left side of the building. There is a white fence to the left of the church building and a path leading from the left foreground of the print to the front door of the church. The church and the fence are surrounded by trees and (grayscale) greenery from behind. The name of the print and the name of the artist are both visible along the bottom border of the print. |
