Description |
The blown glass bowl is a collaborative work by Jolley and Nicely; Jolley created the glass bowl, while Nicely contributed the decorative drawings seen on the outward facing portion of the bowl. The bowl's base and lip are treated with the same black glaze. The bowl itself has a white base that is speckled with glazes of saturated blue, along with earth tones of green, yellow, and orange. Nicely's mark making is loose and gestural. The lines and shapes appear non-objective in their reference. |
